Ellesmere Rugby Sub Union is a community-focused affiliation of Rugby Clubs committed to fostering participation, development, and excellence in rugby within the Selwyn and Banks Peninsula districts. With a strong tradition and deep local roots, we provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to be involved in the game.

Ellesmere supports rugby from junior grades through to senior teams, men and women, boys and girls, creating clear development pathways while promoting the core values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Ellesmere Rugby is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where players can develop both on and off the field.

Proud of its history and the role it plays within the local community, Ellesmere Rugby continues to strengthen connections between players, families, volunteers, and supporters while contributing to the ongoing growth of rugby in the region.
